PROPHET PART 2 - BROTHERS Jeremiah Thompkins and the Faux-Azrael find Jean-Paul Valley along with Werley spread across the desert sand. The imposter drags both men to Jeremiah's home and restrains them. Jean-Paul begins to have a vision and imagines the actual Azrael. Azrael tells Jean-Paul that this imposter comes from an Asian sect of the Order of St. Dumas in Shanghai. Jean-Paul regains consciousness and hears a car pull up to Jeremiah's base. Jeremiah welcomes his buyer Mr. Cox and his bodyguards into his home. Mr. Cox presents Jeremiah with 300 thousand dollars in international bearer bonds for the stolen medical supplies. Jeremiah inquires about Mr. Cox's intentions for the medical supplies. Cox replies by saying that there are a lot of people dying in the Middle East and the Balkans. He intends to sell the supplies to whom ever can afford it and leave the rest to die. Jeremiah then gave the imposter a nod to execute the buyers. The imposter decapitates Cox and vanquishes Cox's bodyguards. Jeremiah and the imposter bury the bodies then head back to the base in order to interrogate their prisoners. Jeremiah recognizes Werley's uniform and assumes he comes from McGog's camp but Werley explains that he is only Jean-Paul's driver. Jeremiah asks Jean-Paul why he has come. Jean-Paul tells Jeremiah that he was asked by Leslie to bring Jeremiah home. Jeremiah doesn't believe that Jean-Paul knows his sister Leslie. Jean-Paul convinces Jeremiah by saying Leslie runs a clinic in the East End Docks of Gotham. Her heroes are Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Thich Nhat Hanh and Dorothy Day. Leslie carries a copy of Day's book in her purse and her only vice is eating a piece of chocolate each day and feels guilty about it. Jeremiah interrupts Jean-Paul when he goes on about Leslie's love of knock knock jokes and playing frisbee. Jean-Paul expresses Leslie's concerns for Jeremiah and Jeremiah cryptically says that she should be. Jeremiah orders the imposter to throw the prisoners into the storage shed until Jeremiah can reach a decision on what his next move is. The imposter leaves the prisoners with a flashlight and Werley takes advantage. Werley breaks the flashlight and uses the flashlight shards to cut through their duct tape bonds. Jean-Paul pleads with Werley to not provoke the imposter or Jeremiah but Werley ignores him. Werley drop kicks Jeremiah but he doesn't move fast enough to dodge the imposter's blade wielding gauntlet. The blade slits Werley's throat. Jeremiah tells Jean-Paul that he was going to set the two of them free and allow Jean-Paul to extend his warmest greetings to his sister Leslie but since Werley is dead, this will complicate matters. Jeremiah suspects that Jean-Paul will relay Werley's death to McGog and his mercenaries will try to kill them as retribution. Jeremiah orders the imposter to kill Jean-Paul but Jean-Paul attempts to reason with the imposter and the Faux-Azrael hesitates.
